| A few years ago, Tony Lawrence (Mop) and I
decided it would be a good idea to try and track down some people we
used to hang around with at school. This meant people from our school
year (who left in 1973) and the people in years below us who we used to
spend most of our time with. We started off knowing where about 6 or 7
of us were, Due to some expert detective work we now have 65 names on
our database. We're still tracking though so
see our wanted page! |

We first met at the Centre of the Universe -
the Marquis of Granby in Hoveringham. This was a very strange experience
but everyone must have enjoyed it as we've done it a few times since
then, although we're overdue for another meeting now. We moved the venue
to the Westdale Tavern a few times which is within staggering distance
of where our parents live or lived. Have a look at our picture
gallery and see what we look like now....check our where are they
now page for some updates! |
| It appears others were also reaching that
strange age and organising reunions. The starters in 1953 when the
school opened formed the Carlton le
WillowsGrammar School Society and organised a 40th Aniversary
reunion at the school on 29th April 1995. This was an excellent chance
to see that the school has actually survived and meet with some of our
old teachers. And other years have been organising their own reunions -
check the news page for information |

| And then of course there is the 2003 reunion. This
was organised by the Carlton le Willows Grammar School Society as a50th
anniversary reunion - 50 years since the school opened in 1953. A full
pictorial record can be found here! |
